About United Truck Centers, Inc.

ur story began in 1986 as a family vision to establish a vehicle repair business that would not only sustain the current generation, but would also become a legacy to succeeding generations to come. In that year we opened a small 2,000 square foot facility on Sepulveda Blvd. under the name of Sepulveda Brake & Front End Specialist. In the beginning, Pete and his brother Campbell were the mechanics; their father machined parts and performed precision work, and sister Susie helped with the billing.

Not content to only remain limited to servicing cars and light trucks, in 1988 elder brother Pete initiated a successful marketing campaign which targeted and attracted several medium and heavy duty truck accounts for servicing. Thus began our career in the truck trade both in repairs, and over-the counter parts sales. In 1991 we changed our name to reflect our market comprising both cars and trucks - we became United Auto & Truck, Inc. By 1992 our service orientation had shifted from one that consisted entirely of cars, to one consisting of medium and heavy duty trucks.

The year 1993 was significant, as we had to move to larger facilities in Sylmar in order to accommodate our growing customer base, and youngest brother Ralph joined the team to manage and expand the parts department. By that time Pete was in charge of service, Campbell was in charge of sales, and Susie was overseeing administrative tasks and company operations.

As we grew, so did the needs of our customers. To better serve them we became an authorized dealer for Cummins, Mitsubishi-Fuso, and Allison Transmissions. In 2003 we opened our chrome accessories shop in Sylmar to meet the needs of our aftermarket accessories customers and growing internet sales market. In 2008, we opened a third facility, managed by Campbell in Canoga Park, to provide sales and service support to our growing markets in the West San Fernando Valley and the Simi and Conejo Valleys. To reflect our presence in multiple locations and the truck orientation of our company, we changed our name to United Truck Centers, Inc.

Even though we have grown over the years, we have never lost sight of our roots. Pete and Campbell take their experience as mechanics, and employ a hands-on approach to guarantee that each repair is properly performed, just as it was done when they turned the wrenches themselves. Moreover, each family member is part of a team that is involved in the day-to-day operation of the company, ensuring that we consistently achieve our goals of quality, excellence, and customer satisfaction.
