Truck Sales Medium and Heavy Duty Representative / Sales Account Executive

DESCRIPTION:
Are you a self-starter who can confidently and assuredly generate their own sales leads and sell medium and Heavy Duty Trucks?  Do you challenge yourself to maximize every sales opportunity and desire to be compensated based on your sales achievements?  United Truck Centers is currently looking for Experienced Commercial Fleet representatives to sell New and Used Medium and Heavy Duty trucks in our Sylmar and Canoga locations.
Job Functions:

  • Marketing United’s New and Used Inventory by identifying and developing a customer base within previously structured demographic areas.
  • Build truck to specifications required, understand and comply with federal, state and local regulations that affect the sales of new and used medium and heavy-duty vehicles
  • Maintain the monthly sales objectives set by management.
  • Use all reasonable methods of prospecting for new and/or used truck customers on a daily basis, either by telephone or by making calls to individuals and businesses outside the dealership and any other related functions as required by the Sales Manager.
  • Maintain on-going communication with the Director and/or Sales Manager of Fleet Truck Sales in a method appropriate for the purpose of discussing the daily business.
  • Insure that all equipment is prepared for sale and meets the established condition parameters.
  • Recognize and maintain professional appearing sales facility, including but not limited to, the Fleet Truck Sales office and display area for equipment prepared for sale.
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with area vendors involved in the reconditioning process.
  • Monitor the reconditioning to process to include daily vendor tracking and monitoring the quality of work.
  • Assist in the transportation of the equipment to various vendor locations as required.

Requirements:

  • 3 years sales experience with Class 3-8 vehicles REQUIRED.
  • High school graduate or equivalent experience.
  • Must have strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to meet sales quota guidelines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
