ACCOUNTANT / CONTROLLER / AUTOMOTIVE OFFICE MANAGER

Description
This position is responsible for managing the accounting, human resources, payroll and IT aspects of our dealership. Applicant must have extensive Dealership Accounting experience, analyzing financial documents, establishing financial policies, procedures, controls and reporting systems. United Truck Centers is A family owned Medium and Heavy Duty truck dealership that is strong and growing since 1986.
Summary
Directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the financial activities of the organization by Ensures corporate, statutory, and regulatory compliance for all accounting and financial reporting functions by performing the following duties personally or through staff members.
Essential Duties / Qualifications
Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Applicant prepares a complete financial statement monthly according to the dealership guidelines and within manufacturer's format and time frame.. Interprets the financial statement and the daily operating control (DOC) regularly and informs dealer of developing trends. Individual maintains an effective cash management system that forecasts cash funds and makes recommendations for the profitable use of cash. Applicant directs assessment of depreciation rates to apply to capital assets. Reviews the general ledger and scheduled accounts. Notes any unusual entries and investigates. Individual reviews the reconciliation of general ledger accounts with outside sources to ensure proper bank reconciliation, reserve accounts, factory payable, and floorplan payable. Stays abreast of tax code revisions and advises dealer regarding any operational adjustments needed to accommodate revisions. Individual ensures compliance with all applicable government finance regulations, including filing and/or maintaining of required forms, taxes and deposits. Applicant manages the dealerships computer system to maximize utilization. Administers a loss review program and maintains a loss reserve for contingent liabilities and trade receivables. Applicant coordinates annual audit and physical parts inventory. Ensures that all office personnel are using proper accounting procedures and maintaining accurate records for the year-end audit to minimize costs. Applicant continues to strive to improve data integrity and information reporting through the dealership, attention to detail and confidentiality.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Manage up to a total of 4 employees in the accounting office.
Requirements (Please DO NOT inquire if you do not meet the following criteria.)
- B.S. degree in Accounting or other business related field.
- In-depth knowledge and experience in automotive dealership accounting principles.
- Strong Analytical and financial analysis skills.
- Proficiency handling multiple, simultaneous projects;
- Experience with ADP Web suite.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Knowledge of Microsoft software products, particularly Excel, ADP Web Suite Dealer System and QuickBooks.

SALES EXECUTIVE MEDIUM DUTY TRUCK
United Truck Centers is seeking sales professionals that have multiple years of experience in serving
clients MEDIUM DUTY TRUCKS needs. As one of Mitsubishis largest premier truck distributors, our network of
dealerships can provide one-stop support and service from the pre-purchase process to warranty repairs to major overhauls on all the leading lines we carry.
Duties include Business to business sales of MEDIUM DUTY TRUCKS for an assigned territory. This position is
responsible for the management of existing accounts and development of new accounts through extensive cold calling.
Requirements for a Truck Sales Representative Include
- Ability to prospect for new business.
- Ability to gather and submit detailed business information for pricing, and presentation of solutions to identified prospects.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Exceptional customer service orientation.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and be flexible in working on multiple quotes simultaneously.
- Ability to perform well with non-daily supervision and direction is self driven, motivated and results orientated.
- Proven ability to achieve sales goals.
- Effectively utilize computer systems.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 2 years parts or service experience. Minimum of 2 years sales related experience.
SKILLS: Good salesmanship; territory management. Excellent verbal and written communication is a must.
Knowledge of light, medium and heavy duty trucks is a plus. Possess valid California driver's license and Vehicle sales person license.
